Story-Link is an asynchronous multiplayer mechanic. Before your playthrough begins, you choose another real player's recorded journey (or a developer preset) as your "Story-Link." Their past choices — factions allied, bridges destroyed, NPCs helped — permanently alter the world state of your Elynd before you start.

Yes, fully. Offline mode uses developer-preset journeys. All story content, quests, and endings remain accessible offline.

Developer Preset (Balanced) is ideal for first-time players. It provides a neutral world state with all content accessible. Avoid Community Random on a first run — it can generate extreme world states.

From the main menu, select Story-Link → Connected Players → Friends List. Your friend must have completed at least Act 1 for their journey to be available as a link.

Yes, but Story-Link data updates with each new completion. The same friend's link in NG+ may reflect a different journey if they have completed additional runs since your first link.

Plastemia is a fictional disease caused by microplastic pollution on Elynd. It slowly converts organic matter to polymer. In gameplay, it is tracked on a 0–100 meter that rises through exposure to contaminated zones and ambient atmosphere, and is managed through medicine, faction treatments, and trait choices.

You enter Critical State. All non-faction NPCs refuse interaction, and you have a limited real-time window to receive emergency treatment from a faction leader or use medicine. Failing to treat in this window in Act 3 triggers the Plastemia Ending.

Only in the True Ending path (Mystic route, all 7 Lore Fragments). All other endings manage or slow Plastemia without eliminating it.

Field Medic is the strongest survival trait — it halves the ambient meter increase rate. Combined with the Reclaimer Filtration Accord (30% global zone rate reduction), it makes Plastemia a minor concern rather than a constant threat.

Six distinct endings: Reclaimer Ending, Marauder Ending, Mystic Ending, Compromise Ending, True Ending, and the Plastemia Ending (fail state).

DigixArt has not officially designated a canon ending. The True Ending ("The Tide Turns") is the most narratively complete and is widely considered by the community to be the intended conclusion.

Technically yes, but very difficult. All 7 Lore Fragments must be collected, all 5 Gold Echoes interacted with, and Voot kept alive. Most players achieve it on their second run.

The Reclaimer Ending is the most accessible — Eyla offers the most forgiving early-game reputation path and her questline naturally maintains the rep threshold needed.

No. Chapter Select (unlocked after first completion) allows replaying from specific points to reach different endings, but you cannot get mutually exclusive endings in a single continuous run.

No. Elynd is an entirely original world. However, DigixArt has confirmed it is a deliberate extrapolation of Earth's current environmental trajectory, compressed for narrative clarity.

Gold Echoes are special Story-Link ghost replays at five key Decision Points. Interacting with all five grants the Echo Resonance item, which is required to unlock the True Ending option at the Council Vote.

Yes. The Abandoned Supply Depot (northeast of Marketland, unmarked) and the Northwest Cluster islands (requires Navigator trait or Power Cell) are the two most significant unmarked exploration areas. Both contain Lore Fragments.
